How end users opt into SMS & calls
This page shows the complete opt-in flow for FableWatch’s SMS / automated-call program, with real screenshots of each step, for verification by mobile carriers and end users alike.
The business & the messaging program
FableWatch (website fablewatch.com), operated by Mark Studios LLC, is a paid monitoring service: it watches the availability of frontier AI models (originally the return of claude-fable-5; now the next state-of-the-art launch) and alerts subscribers. The SMS / automated-call program sends a subscriber exactly two message types: (1) a one-time verification code to confirm their mobile number, and (2) a service alert when a watched model availability event occurs — e.g. a new state-of-the-art model launching. Recipients are paying subscribers who opt in from their own account dashboard. Questions: contact@fablewatch.com.
Step 1 — Enable the SMS channel in the account dashboard
After purchasing a plan at fablewatch.com, the subscriber opens their dashboard and finds the per-channel alert controls. SMS and Voice are off by default; the subscriber switches SMS on to begin opting in. (Consent is collected separately from purchase — a subscriber can buy a plan and never enable texts.)

Step 2 — Affirmative consent (unchecked checkbox + full disclosure)
Switching SMS on opens a consent gate. The subscriber must affirmatively check an unchecked-by-default checkboxnext to the full consent disclosure before the “I agree — enable” button activates. The disclosure reads, verbatim:
I agree to receive recurring automated text messages and an automated phone call from FableWatch (Mark Studios LLC) at the number provided — a one-time verification code and availability alerts for the AI models FableWatch monitors, including when a new state-of-the-art model launches. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See Messaging Terms (fablewatch.com/messaging) and Privacy Policy (fablewatch.com/privacy).
It includes the message types, “Message frequency varies,” “Msg & data rates may apply,” “Consent is not a condition of purchase,” and “Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help,” with links to the Messaging Terms and Privacy Policy.

Step 3 — Verify ownership of the number (one-time passcode)
Even after consent, no message is sent until the subscriber proves they own the number: FableWatch texts a one-time passcode and the subscriber enters it. Texts and calls stay paused until the number is verified.
